"I was genuinely ready to switch my car insurance. I had done my research, requested a quote, and was fully prepared to make the move. Unfortunately, the experience I had with my assigned agent completely changed my mind.
From the very first conversation, it felt far less like an insurance consultation and far more like a high-pressure sales pitch. Rather than walking me through my options and helping me find the right coverage for my needs, I was bombarded with rhetorical questions and unsolicited opinions about why I absolutely needed to upgrade my policy. There was very little listening and a whole lot of convincing. It honestly reminded me more of a used car lot than a professional insurance agency. The approach was so aggressive that I actually stopped mid-call to look up whether agents earn commission on policy upgrades, that should tell you everything about how the interaction felt.
I politely declined and told them I would be looking elsewhere. I thought that would be the end of it. It wasn't. I received yet another call from the same agent, and once again, the hard sell picked right back up. I said "no" four separate times during that call, and each time, the pressure continued. I ultimately had to cut the conversation short and tell them plainly that I was hanging up the phone, because simply saying "no" was clearly not being respected.
I want to be fair, the quote itself may have been competitive, and I'm sure there are good people at this company. But the overall experience was incredibly off-putting. When a potential customer is ready to sign on and the only thing that drives them away is your sales approach, that's a problem worth addressing. A good insurance agent should feel like an advisor, not a salesperson working on commission.
I'd encourage management to reconsider the way their agents engage with prospective clients. Pressure tactics don't build trust, they destroy it."

I had two chaotic years that included a separation and the death of both my parents, and then lots of new insurance avenues on my own while still healing. "Few months ago I switched from Farmers insurance to State Farm. Customer service has been great and truly appreciate the pricing!! Much better deal. Then recently I locked my keys in my car. Used the State Farm app and was happily surprised to find out that I had locksmith included. I was able to answer a few quick prompts and submitted a claim. Within an hour (with ample notification in between) service was at my car and they quickly resolved my issue. I was extremely thankful for how easy it was to get out of a bad situation.
